ARTIST BIO

Each piece of art reflects a bit of who I am. At 23 years of age, like most young adults I have no clue who I am, or what I want to do with my life, all I truly know is that I’ve always loved to draw: Each piece of art reflects this in a way. I have lived in LA’s South Bay area my whole life, which has influenced my art greatly, whether it is the walls at Venice Beach, the street art bombings on the 110fwy, or the various murals throughout downtown LA and urban areas.  I love living here and I think it’s a great place to grow up, with so much cultural diversity it is all the influence a great artist needs to thrive.  A big part of me however would love to get away from the beach and city life, just too many people and too much going on.  Since I was two years old I have been traveling to Clark Colorado just outside of Steamboat Springs about three times a year to my grandparents’ house. I love this house more than anything and would give it all up to live in such beautiful house tucked away in the forest along a river. This has been a great influence on who I am today. Being a boy scout at a younger age I love the outdoors, it is calming to listen to the river and various birds as you sit on the porch draw.  Along with going to Colorado I have travel to many amazing places over the years with my family, places like the California Redwoods, Yosemite, Devils Post Pile, Alaska, Europe, the list goes on, I think if it weren’t for my parents being teachers and traveling to so many wonderful natural creations, my grandparents house in Colorado, and being a boy scout, the nature that is reflected in my art would not be present.  Art is expressed by experience throughout life, and my art greatly reflects my life.  The roads in most of my illustrations represents the fact that I have yet to chose a path in life, whether to live in one of the world’s greatest city’s, and biggest urban art influence or the love I have for nature and how we should preserve and share as much of it as we can with the rest of the world. My art is the mix of urban influences along with nature influence, showing the dilemma between the love for both, this is what I wish to share with world.
